LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30 1984) was an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). James is known as King James and is considered to be among the most successful basketball players in history. James is the winner of four NBA Championships, Four NBA MVP Awards, Four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He has also won 2 Olympic Gold Medals. James is second in greatest number of goals in his career and seventh-highest assists. James has been named as an NBA All-Star 18 times. The NBA All-Star has made the All-NBA Team 18 times, a record. James was also named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team 5 times. The third-highest number in NBA Finals ever was ten which included eight consecutive games between 2011-2018. James was selected to join the NHL75th Anniversary Team. And in 2022 he became first NBA player ever to score 10,000 or higher career points. James was a basketball player at St. Vincent St. Mary High school in Akron in Ohio. The school was recognized by the national press as the next NBA super star. In 2003, the Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the number one pick of the NBA draft in 2003. In his time as the NBA rookie player of 2004 he established himself quickly as one of the most elite players in the league, receiving the NBA MVP award for the 2009 and 2010 seasons. James failed to win an award in Cleveland and then left Cleveland with the status of"a "free agent" in 2010. This decision was made during the television special The Decision.
