Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28th the 28th of October, 1967. Her family is the fourth Roberts family to have lived in Atlanta. The story began with her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts who was an agriculturalist. Her father was a young man when he became interested in theater. In 1952, while an undergraduate at Emory University, he performed in several productions in Atlanta. When he was stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi, he was inducted into the air force in 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was part of the show as well. The couple got married in the year 1955. Their first child, Eric Anthony, was born in the year 1956. Walter was an undergraduate at Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In 1957 they left the airforce and Walter started his education at Tulane. The family relocated in 1960 to Decatur Georgia where Walter began working with Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. The year 1964 was when Walter as well as Betty Lou began production on a local Saturday morning children's television program named Bum Bum and His Buddies that they funded themselves. They also established an organization that lasted for six years called the Actors and Writers Workshop later the same year. Lelisa Billingsley, also known as Lisa, was born in the year 1965. Julia Billingsley followed in 1967.
