Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada, and is now American. She's released over 20 albums. DiFranco's music is classified as folk, alternative and rock but she also draws influences from jazz and hip-hop. Ani Difranco is believed as a feminist icon and Grammy award winner. Being one of the first female artists in the 90s, she founded her own label. DiFranco was born on the 23rd of September, 1970 in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as well as Dante Americo DiFranco. Her father is of Italian heritage, while her mother comes from Montreal. Ani DiFranco wrote and sang 32 Flavors. The track was first released in 1995 on the sixth album Not a Pretty Girl.
