Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault (born Salma Valgarma Hayek-Jimmyenez, September 2, 1966)[3][4][5]) is an American and Mexican actress. Her career began in Mexico which she played in the television drama Teresa (1989-1991), and the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), which was a huge success and earned her an Ariel Award nomination. With appearances in films like Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999) She quickly established herself as a leading actress in Hollywood. Hayek's performance as Frida the painter in Frida (2002) and Frida (2002), which she also directed as well, made Hayek the first Mexican actress to receive the Academy Award [6]. In addition, it earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination, Screen Actors Guild Award nomination and British Academy Film Award nominations.
